Monday, February 27th- Bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book.
Tuesday, February 28th- Silly Sock day
Wednesday, March 1st- Silly Hat day
Thursday, March 2nd- Dress as a Dr. Seuss character or t-shirt.
Friday, March 3rd- Wear green!
Tuesday, February 28th- Early Re-enrollment deadline
Friday, March 10- Friday, March 17- Spring Break.
Monday, March 27- Friday, March 31- Standardized Testing
Thursday, April 13-Monday, April 17- Easter Break
Saturday, April 29th- Super Saturday
Friday, May 26th- Last day of school
** Many students have not been turning their reading folders in on the correct day or at all. It is very important that you are reading with your student several times a week and returning the folder so that I can give you new reading material. Please help me so that I can make your child a successful reader!

Phonics: Long vowels- please review these concepts at home. Review short and long vowels at home when reading.

Special Sounds -ay, e, and y
Math: Writing numbers to 70 and Chapter 10, Understanding Addition
Bible: Boyhood of Jesus
Unit Study: Dental Health, Dr. Seuss
Handwriting: We will practice correct letter formation, spacing, and placement of letters. To enhance your child's writing skills it would be beneficial to work on writing short sentences at home with your child using sight words and short vowel words. Practice capitalization, punctuation and spacing.

SIGHT WORDS: Please continue to review first and second quarter sight words and work on mastering the third quarter. We will be assessing again around the first week in March.
PLEASE SEND A WATER BOTTLE AND SNACK DAILY. PLEASE MARK YOUR CHILD"S FOLDER DAILY!
