Thursday, 1/26- Middle School ground breaking 9:30am
Monday, 1/30- 100th Day of school - The students may dress as if they are 100 years old or come wearing a shirt decorated with 100 items.
Friday, 2/17- Georgia Day - The students may wear an Indian or colonial costume if they wish.
Monday, 2/20- NO SCHOOL President's Day Holiday

Phonics: Long vowels- please review these concepts at home as you see this new concept beginning. Review short and long vowels at home when reading.
Word family -ot (hot, pot, etc.)
-op (pop, stop, etc.)
Blend "cl" (clown, clock, etc.)
Math: Writing numbers to 60 and Chapter 8 Solid Shapes
Bible: Jacob and begin Joseph
Unit Study: Winter
Handwriting: We will practice correct letter formation, spacing, and placement of letters. To enhance your child's writing skills it would be beneficial to work on writing short sentences at home with your child using sight words and short vowel words. Practice capitalization, punctuation and spacing.

SIGHT WORDS: Please continue to review first and second quarter sight words and work on mastering the third quarter.
PLEASE SEND A WATER BOTTLE AND SNACK DAILY. PLEASE MARK YOUR CHILD"S FOLDER DAILY!
